overexposurephotography asked: Desert Essence doen't test on animals, and doesn't use any non-organic chemicals. i think they only sell in California, though. i've only seen them in health food stores and Trader Joe's
Anonymous asked: Do you know of any face wash that is like Cetaphil but doesn't test on animals?
peace-love-catie asked: just looked through practically your entire blog, and I must say, you are a wonderful person. I'm 22 days into veganism and loving it and you were a must-follow for tips and other vegan related posts :)
I know you said you are involved with someone, and I'm not trying to make a cyber-move, but I also have to say you are VERY cute!

chrisfox asked: So I have to ask, what are your thoughts of vegan diets beyond a personal choice for an individual? Do you think everyone should be vegan? And what are your thoughts about those who can't or don't want to be vegan?
I'm vegetarian, and try to eat vegan whenever I can. It just strikes me that veganism is often too utopian of an idea when extrapolated to the size of an...

Today I ...
went with my dad to the local farm where he buys his meat/dairy/eggs (yes sadly my family still isn’t vegan), just to see what it was like. I saw a sign above the veal chops describing how nice they were to the baby cows. They talked about how the calf lives with it’s mother and grazes in a pasture. They conveniently ended describing their kindness when they failed to tell how they...
I just bought
a new (and very cheap) mixing bowl, set of measuring utensils, and a baking sheet to bring back to college with me!

Providing healthy, whole food to everyone
should be part of a universal health care program.
maybe then health care wouldn’t cost so much!
TMI tuesday,
all I want to do is write feminist, queer, vegan poetry with a good rhythm and read it in front of a microphone the back of a coffee shop.

Vegan beano?
Sooo as a vegan, I find that I’m often quite gassy from eating beans all the time. I bought the anti-gas pill Beano, but sadly I found that it contained gelatin and various fish products. Are there any vegan gas-controllers on the market now?

On the news today...
there was a story that went something like this: cats and dogs saved from some terrible environment, many were saved, sadly some didn’t make it.
What if the headline was, instead,
hundreds of cows weren’t saved from suffering in disgusting, inhumane conditions. sadly they all didn’t make it.
